People keep asking me for a DIY video to share my process for making liquor bottle lamps, so I made one! I clean the bottle and remove the labels, then use a Dremel with a 5/16” diamond core drill bit to make the hole at the base for the lamp cord. Next up I apply several coats of primer, which grounds the paint and paper scraps to the bottle. I add layers and layers of paint and paper until I make myself stop. 😊 I seal it with a glossy finish, and my husband installs the lamp components. (Thanks, pookie.) It uses a traditional 60 watt bulb and comes with a harp.
